The Introduction.
Welcome to Prime Foresight Solutions, LLC. Respect to you for doing your own research! My name is Jamaal Lewis. My incredible wife and I have three amazing sons. I am an Active Duty Aviation Maintenance Technician, Special Operations Aircraft Maintainer, Basic Life Saving Skills Instructor, and Course Curriculum Developer in the U.S. Air Force.
I’ve held many different titles over the past 15 years. Personally, the most honorable was “mentor” to many young Airmen. Unfortunately, with all the military training we have access to, there was one common theme throughout far too many of my Wingmen. That constant was an alarming void in basic financial literacy.
Let’s adjust our mindsets
Please don’t think that I “got the answers, Sway”, but I definitely get it. Big Ballin’ with the homies is something pop culture has been capitalizing off us with for decades! Don’t get me wrong, “blowing money fast” is fun as ever!. Until that has you making life decisions with money like “How am I bout’ta eat for the rest of this week?” or “Where can I still go for free wifi?”
I have seen these things happen far too often, to too many of the “less than 1% of the U.S. population” in the Air Force. I can only imagine how this hits different with our civilian family.
After spending countless hours (before and after work), sitting 1-on-1 with my Wingmen, creating their first ever budgets, and providing much needed budget reviews; then partnering with instillation resource specialists to hold volunteer classes, I continued to fall victim to another constant… This stuff is SO Boring!
Make it make cents…
I decided to try to find ways that make learning about money management as easy and entertaining as possible. Let’s be honest, without being generally interested and/or enjoying what we’re learning, it all immediately becomes “Brain-Dumpable” information!
So now, my goal is to help as many people as I can, to hopefully fill in some off these financial education gaps that were kept from our initial education. Then make it available to you.
We will do this, together!
Now, I hope that you enjoy what we’re learning. Please work with me to help shift our mindsets. When we choose implementing this information, we have the foresight to also think longer-term than an Instagram story, TikTok craze, or any other social media challenge.
